Oncology Rehabilitation
Oncology rehabilitation provided by a licensed physical therapist is specialized care designed to support individuals before, during, and after cancer treatment. Our goal is to restore strength, mobility, and confidence while helping manage the physical side effects of cancer and its treatments.
Care may address cancer-related fatigue, pain, weakness, balance changes, scar tissue restrictions, chemotherapy-induced neuropathy, and lymphedema. We provide comprehensive lymphedema management, including early screening and risk-reduction education, manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, therapeutic exercise, and long-term self-management strategies to reduce swelling and prevent progression.
Each plan of care is individualized and may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, scar and radiation fibrosis management, postural and breathing retraining, and patient education to support safe recovery. Oncology rehabilitation can begin before surgery (pre-habilitation), continue during active treatment, or support survivorship and long-term wellness—helping patients return to daily activities with improved function, comfort, and quality of life.
